What we need
We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. Your job will be to maintain and build on our data warehouse and analytics environment in a scalable way. This is a fast-paced high-impact software role with tangible and meaningful results in the ‘real world’ of robotics and supply chain automation. Your ability to grow, mentor and shape a team of individuals with a focus on quality and value will help our team achieve its goal.
What we do
The Data and Analytics team is part of the Core System Software organization and is all things data for Symbotic, from ingestion to presentation and smart analytics. We are a highly skilled cross functional collaborative team that collects, analyzes, and visualizes data to drive innovation across the company using the latest tools and technologies. One of our many goals is to bring leading visualizations for our customers to assist in understanding the capabilities of their system today and beyond.
What you’ll do
Maintain and build on our data warehouse and analytics environment.
Maintain and build reports and data visualizations, using data from the data warehouse and other sources.
Be a technical leader of the team.
Perform one-off data manipulation/munging and analysis on a wide variety of operational data.
Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties.
Demonstrate passion about building high quality analytics solutions that addresses customer needs, love solving problems and facing new challenges.
Work in a dynamic Agile/Scrum based environment.
Travel to customer sites up to 10%.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required.
Minimum 8 years professional experience developing software applications.
The qualified candidate must have experience with SQL and front-end reporting solutions such as Qlik and Tableau.
The qualified candidate must have experience with Data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
A hands-on problem solver with excellent software design and implementation skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to support unscheduled events.
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
Our Environment
Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
