What we need
We are looking for a Vision & Robotics Deployment Engineer to join our T3 team. Your job will be to provide remote and field support to Symbotic customers, operations teams and production partners for the installation, software updates (Robot and Vision), and configuration of the systems. The Vision & Robotics Deployment Engineer will proactively ensure the Vision and Robotics systems are running properly in the production warehouse automation environments of our customers.
What we do
The T3 team is part of the Core Systems Software Engineering organization and is responsible for software/systems deployments, prompt critical issues resolution, and scaling to many customers and sites. We are solving some of the toughest operational challenges in some of the most sensitive and mission critical automated warehouse solutions.
What you’ll do
Provide direct support for product release activities remotely or on-site at customer locations.
Support the commissioning teams for starting Vision & Robotics systems.
Create documentation of system-level functionality from a support perspective.
Gather information about the needs of the customers and the capabilities/usage of the underlying Vision and Robotics software components to drive product improvement activities within Vision and Robotics engineering in a proactive manner.
Understand Symbotic solution, including an understanding of all elements involved in development of the solution for customers.
Assist in executing User Acceptance Testing.
This position may require occasional flexibility of start time based on operational needs.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (computer engineering, robotics, or similar) or equivalent professional experience required.
2+ years of relevant professional experience in complex systems deployment and troubleshooting (hardware and software).
Good knowledge of mechatronics (motors, industrial pneumatics, electrical circuits, sensors, encoders, etc.) is required.
Experience of troubleshooting in MS Windows O/S is required.
Experience with ABB robots, Robot Studio and Rapid language is desired.
C++/C# programming a plus.
Gitlab experience a plus.
Azure experience is a plus.
Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous issues and tasks.
Outstanding time management skills and attention to details.
