HOW IT WORKS
Intelligent software orchestrates a fleet of vision-enabled autonomous robots to induct, store and retrieve products within the unique structure. The result is an optimized high-density, mixed-SKU pallet that can be loaded onto a trailer in minutes for customer delivery.
THE SYMBOTIC SYSTEM
REINVENT THE WAREHOUSE
Robotic arms equipped with computer vision and proprietary end-of-arm tools depalletize, singulate and optimize the orientation of cases entering the structure. Each cell is capable of processing 1,700 cases per hour. For floor-loaded trailers, cases are digitized and inducted to the system via conveyors.
The robots pick cases from induction buffers and are intelligently routed to place cases in variable height bays across the dynamic storage structure. As orders are processed smart tasking and routing software directs autonomous robots to pick and deliver cases to outbound cells, moving at speeds up to 20+ mph.
A pair of vision-enabled robots work in coordination to intelligently palletize cases for the highest density and stability at a cell rate of 1,350 cases per hour. Outbound cell robots build and wrap delivery-ready pallets designed for each store’s unique layout.
A comprehensive proprietary software architecture that includes a controls layer, routing-tasking algorithms and powerful data analytics is integrated with a customer’s full WMS to orchestrate and drive the system.
In each end-to-end system hundreds of autonomous robots with advanced vision and sensing capabilities work together in harmony. These bots build optimized mixed-case pallets with relentless efficiency and industry-leading speed and density.
A first-of-its-kind storage structure and distributed storage algorithm maximizes flexibility and enables the highest inventory density in the market. The result is a 30-60% reduction in building footprint compared to the best-in-class alternative.
A.I.-powered software seamlessly orchestrates hundreds of autonomous robots. Our comprehensive proprietary software manages the entire end-to-end system from case digitization and complex bot routing to sequencing, planning and building the perfect mixed-SKU pallet.
Throughput metrics vary based on the size of the Symbotic System and are scalable.
WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY
The Symbotic System is flexible enough to be implemented in new or existing operations. The modular design makes it easily scalable.
If you are looking to get more capacity out of existing assets, the System can be installed in new or existing operations, processing the same volume in significantly less space. Implementation of a module often frees up space for subsequent modules – further increasing capacity.
The Symbotic System is implemented in modules like Lego building blocks consisting of inbound and outbound cells plus a storage structure. Modules are customizable based on the needs of your business such as case volume, order profiles, and product characteristics.
As your business grows additional modules can be added seamlessly using the space freed up by the initial implementation. And additional robots can be added to support increased volume over time.
It takes a different kind of company to reinvent and reimagine.
