The Cell Test Team at Symbotic is looking for a Co-op student to help accelerate automated testing of industrial controls hardware.

What you’ll do

• Design and build a solution for testing a Input/Output blocks with configurable ports, input, output, and IOLink.

• Write procedures on utilizing I/O block test solution.

• Document and store all design work and procedures.

• Assist/support the Cell test team when performing test procedures.

What you’ll need

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field

• Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or Instrumentation background.

• Experience with Arduino or Raspberry Pi is required

• Experience with PLC is required. Rockwell preferred.

• Experience programming IOLink or other industrial communication protocols desired.

• Basic understanding of software testing practices

• Enjoys learning new technologies, skills, and techniques as well as teaching them to others

• Effectively communicate ideas, verbal and written

• Strong decision-making skills

Our Environment

• Some physical tasks, such as light maintenance or equipment handling, may be required.

• Up to 10% travel may be necessary.
